Herz Jesu Vocational and Entrepreneurship College Anyigba is situated in Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. It is an area close to the old Anyigba/Egume road, and not far from Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba. The college is the initiative of the Herz Jesu Foundation for Youths and Children Empowerment (Founded in 2020 by Rev. Fr. Dr. Theophilus Ugbedeojo Ejeh of the Catholic Diocese of Idah, Nigeria) and shall be run in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Idah, Nigeria.
It is an institution that has been born out of the desire to engage the youths and children in skill acquisition, career and character building. The institution has been under construction since 2021 and has been largely financed by benefactors and benefactresses from Germany through: UDAMA Förderverein – Kinderschulprojekt in Nigeria (Founded by Rev. Fr. Dr. Innocent Oyibo in conjunction with some parishioners of the Church of Maria Königin des Friedens Kassel, Germany in 2006); Friedrich-Mulka Stiftung, Paderborn, Germany; Kolping Familie St. Hedwig, Paderborn, Germany; and St. Liborius Pfarrgemeinde, Paderborn, Germany, St. Hubertus-Schützenbruderschaft Dahl 1927, and other individual donors to whom we express our acknowledgement and profound gratitude.
We are very grateful to Almighty God for making this project a success. We acknowledge and appreciate immensely the Catholic Diocese of Idah and her present Local Ordinary, Most Rev. Anthony Ademu Adaji, MSP. and the past Local Ordinary, our late Father, Most Rev. Ephraim Silas Obot for the opportunity and the privilege given to us to study and work in Germany and thereby establish the contacts through which this project is made possible. We equally appreciate the Catholic Diocese of Fulda and the Catholic Archdiocese of Paderborn for every support we have received from them.
We wish to also acknowledge and appreciate our late senior Brother, Very Rev. Fr. Isaac Achemu of the Catholic Diocese of Idah for all his efforts put into this project. Our vision is to provide vocational education and entrepreneurship training especially for underprivileged youths, particularly those awaiting their WAEC/NECO results. We seek to bridge the gap between secondary education and higher education while guiding young people in choosing their future careers.
Our mission is empowering skills, building entrepreneurs and shaping and brightening the future of youths.
